TROPIFOODS ® was established in 1989 by the Medina Molina family in accordance with the commercial laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, for the production, packaging and export of roots, tubers and vegetables.
In 2008 we had the privilege of being the second Costa Rican partner company of the most important YUCA Research Center in the world, with the aim of improving and advancing in our YUCA production processes.
In 2014 we were one of the pioneer companies in obtaining the Essential Costa Rica certification. We also have Global GAP and GRASP certification.

We serve demanding markets, we have concentrated our efforts on the export of excellent quality products, seeking the best standards, in accordance with the demands of our target market and under our TROPIFOODS ® brand.
NOSOTROS - Actualidad
TROPIFOODS ® is currently focused on the production and export of a wide range of tropical products, also known as ethnic products, such as: Yuca (Cassava) , Eddoes, Eddoes Head, Taro Root, Sweet Potato, Chayote, Ginger, Pumpkin, White and purple Malanga. We also have a variety of tropical fruits such as Pineapple, Mango, Papaya and Sugar Cane.
TROPIFOODS ® is authorized for export, by the United States Foods and Drugs Administration (FDA), the Ministry of Agriculture in Costa Rica (MAG), and the PROCOMER (Foreign Trade Promoter) office in Costa Rica .
We are part of the group of partners of the CLAYUCA institution, an institution dedicated to cassava research, based in Cali, Colombia.
Today our company complies with the most demanding international standards and regulations, and with the most important technological trends in the handling of fresh products.
We have a specialized team of people, who are constantly being trained, in charge of field production, agricultural engineering that assists our production team, packaging handling, customs procedures and export, marketing and sales.
